About HVAC.City

HVAC.City is a Canadian marketing and business consulting service that helps heating and cooling companies plan and launch in new cities. It's part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, based in Vancouver and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

HVAC.City exists for one decision that most heating and cooling companies face once they're established: whether to open in another city, and how to do it without wasting the first year. We help owners answer that question with checkable numbers, then plan and run the marketing side of the launch in a deliberate order. We work only on the marketing and business side. Every install, repair and service call is done by your licensed team, never by us.

What we do and what we don't

We size markets, plan launches and run the marketing; we don't touch equipment. Specifically, we:

We don't install, repair, inspect or certify anything. We don't give engineering, legal, tax, licensing or code-compliance advice. Where those questions come up, and they always do in a new province, we point you to the regulators and certification bodies listed on our areas pages, and to your own advisers.

Part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group

HVAC.City is a Canadian brand, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. Sedighi.ca is the consulting company through which Ali Sedighi runs his growth, marketing and technology work, and it sits behind brands such as HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. Its sister firm, SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone), advises Canadian businesses on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, with Ali as Founder and Managing Partner.

Within that group, HVAC.City belongs to the HVAC.Agency family. That means the same pricing, the same published case studies and the same approach to HVAC marketing, applied specifically to opening new markets.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi leads HVAC.City and takes part in the strategy for every launch. His training is an MBA in Technology Management, and his marketing career goes back more than 17 years, to 2007, the year he set up ONE.ir as a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Ali has built 150+ live HVAC websites. Several of the sites on our results page, such as CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and BCWide.ca, are part of that portfolio. He also founded Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca, and is Founder and Managing Partner of SAZ.ca. His clients are in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

That background matters for a city launch in a practical way. Opening a new market is mostly a conversion problem: getting a stranger in an unfamiliar city to trust a company they've never heard of, quickly enough to call. Years of building HVAC sites and testing what makes people pick up the phone feed directly into how we plan a launch.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same principles, whichever city you're entering.

  1. Numbers before pages. We don't build anything until the market sizing says the city is worth it. The market sizing guide shows the method in full.
  2. Honest presence. Your profile, website and ads describe how you really operate in the city. No virtual offices, no fake addresses, no borrowed reviews.
  3. Order over volume. The launch sequence matters more than the size of the budget.
  4. Everything tracked. Calls are tracked to source from day one, so you can see what the new market is producing.
  5. You own it. The domain, website, profile, ad accounts and data are registered to your business.
  6. No promises we can't keep. We don't promise rankings, lead counts or results. We show you the method, the published results from our HVAC work, and how we'll measure progress.

Why a separate brand for city launches

Because launching a new market is a different job from growing an existing one. In your home city you have reviews, history, referrals and a profile that already ranks. In a new city you have none of that. The plan, the budget shape and the risks are all different, and they deserve their own playbook.

The closest example in our published work is GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat that now serves 26+ BC communities with a 5.0★ rating from 76+ Google reviews. It shows a focused new brand finding its own footing. The full set is on the results page.

Talk to us

If you're considering a new city, call, text or email with the city name and a few of your numbers. You'll talk to a senior strategist, and if the answer is that the city isn't right yet, we'll say so. See pricing for plans, or the contact page for what to include in your first message.

Frequently asked questions

Is HVAC.City an HVAC contractor?

No. We plan launches and run marketing for HVAC companies. We never install, repair, service or inspect equipment, and we don't employ technicians. Your company does the work; we help customers in the new city find you.

How is HVAC.City related to HVAC.Agency?

HVAC.City is part of the HVAC.Agency family within the Sedighi.ca group. HVAC.Agency is the parent brand for our HVAC marketing work, and its pricing and case studies apply here.

Where are you based?

In Vancouver, British Columbia. We work with HVAC companies across Canada, meeting by video call or in person, and by phone, text and email.

Who will we actually work with?

Ali Sedighi leads the strategy on every engagement. You'll deal with a senior strategist from the first conversation, not a junior account manager reading from a script.
